FSI’s Concept Evolution CAFM and FSI GO Mobile solutions have recently been implemented by Serco Australia for the operational facilities management of a brand new correctional centre on more than 90,000 square metres of rural land in the New South Wales state of Australia.

The recently completed 1,700-bed facility will be the largest correctional centre in Australia and was constructed at a cost of approximately $800 million Australian Dollars.

The complex will feature state-of-the-art security and surveillance, as well as advanced rehabilitation services. The centre will be delivered as a public private partnership (PPP), with the private sector responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the facility and ownership to be retained by the NSW government.

For the next 20 years, the prison will inject more than $560 million dollars into the local economy with 1,100 jobs created during construction and around 600 permanent jobs once operational.

Serco are existing FSI Global clients, with multiple projects in the UK and Middle East.
